The eye of the action - MidTown East Home

Midtown is just what the name says.  Middle of town.  The neighborhood is a mix of office buildings, shops, hotels and residential buildings. Many are new luxury high rises and others are from earlier times.  Being in the central means that it is easy to get to the other parts of the city. If you work in central Manhattan you can very likely walk to and from work.   It is very close to Grand Central station and easy to get to all the other transportation centers. By car and taxi it is convenient to every area. Midtown east is also close to the theater district, museums, hotels, Central Park, Lincoln Center, the United Nations, and everything else that makes New York the Big Apple.   Of course being in the middle means that you don't have much green space and there is always activity right outside your home,  but it is your home and it cab be that center of peace and calm.  Many professionals live here because it is so convenient to the work sites and the social venues.  Often these apartments are shared by friends who want to live in a bigger space than they could afford alone.
There are other benefits of living in a share.  Please share some of your stories in the comments section.
